Hello this is an experiment for me in drawing protraits:

this was done on 9x12 inch sketch pad in pencil from a phothgraph.

Hi Chris,

Looks like you are really into drawing and that is wonderful. This is a suggestion you might find useful. I just bought several of Frederic Taubes' books through Amazon.com. under rare and used (very cheap) He has a book on Portrait Painting with very good lessons and demonstrations that are easy to understand and follow. It's an old book, but techniques haven't changed much in the last five or six hundred years. You might find it very worthwhile. You may be able to get it at your library. I've been painting for a long time and I learned a lot from his books.

A good first try! Nice lines. One of the older boy's eyes is too small (assuming he is older)but that's all that really pops out to me that may need some improvement.
