Just a little something for the holidays...
In many cultures, it seems, there is a tradition of lighting a candle for those who are absent from us at times like the holidays. Whether snowed in... or overseas... or whatever may separate us... I'm sure many of us have someone we love, from whom we must be apart at this special time...
So I offer to all, this simple gift... virtual... but a candle nonetheless... that we may in some way "keep a light in the window" for those we miss...

A lovely thought, Kevin....
I will have a quiet Christmas Day, just 2 friends round for dinner, we all don't handle crowds and parties well. So, a nice meal, music, chat, and exchange gifts.
I hope everyone has an enjoyable Festive Season!

That one is for my little brother, he's stationed in Florida with the Air Force and this will be his first Christmas away from home.
Happy Holidays to everyone ^_^

I too shall light such a candle, to burn forever in my heart in rememberance of him who will be apart from me during this time, and all time we are are apart. A beautiful sentiment Kevin, indeed.

I'm glad everyone seems to like my little candle (just made it last night).
I, myself, have many candles to light this season.
For family snowed in, for friends afar,
for those I love... wherever they are...
Seems we all have someone to miss... yet, like the candle's flame, our hope burns brightly... our hope they may one day soon be safe and warm in our loving arms... that they may, indeed, be home...

For wee Ellie
Kevin..this seems to have gotten lost on the back burner which seems such a shame as it is too nice and idea to have it burn out so quickly. You will have to keep it in the forefront for the Holiday Season. Cheers, Dianna
