This is a pastel on Canson (again), drawn from a live model. I’d like to hear your thoughts on this one also.

I think you draftsmanship is very good especially from a live model.
What does bother me is your use of halftones. The three I circled are all the same value, too dark and too warm, especially the two upper forehead ones. You want these areas to recide and being so warm that doesn't work here. It looks like you used a raw sienna and he appears suntaned there only from the rest of his face? Your value changes from your lights to your halftones are too extreme. A more of a sutle graduation would have more impact going from the halftones to the lights and keeping those halftones cooler but not necessarily darker! What great feedback. This is exactly what I am looking for - a look with a fresh and experienced eye. Your comments are objective, and specific, which makes it possible for me to apply the corrections.
I agree with you on the darks, they are too warm to receede. I'll also work on the gradation between light and dark.
