Hi this is my first time posting on WC. I think this site is fantastic. As a relatively new and self taught artist, I don't get much feedback on my work. Up until a year ago, I had never picked up an artistic tool of any kind! Since then I have been fascinated (obsessed is mor like it) with people and portraits. Any comments on this drawing would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Erin and welcome!
Your gif file was fine - somehow you managed to get too many tags round the file address.

Lovely double portrait!

The expressions on the couple's faces are very good. That's a hard thing to do. I don't like the "texture" of the drawing. What kind of paper did you use ? I think that some quality charcoal paper would greatly improve your results.

Thank you, everyone for your comments. Linda, I used Strathmore Bristol, because I find this to be the best paper to withstand all the blending involved in the technique I use.
