Hello everyone!
It's been ages since I managed to do a WDE. Blue Pellinore here's your beautiful daughter. Don't think I did her justice, but I did enjoy doing her.
Hp water colour paper 36 x48cm. Took about 4 hours I'm afraid...
Thank you so much for the lovely pictures you posted.
PS Apologies for poor quality photo. My photos always turn out quite blue. Any body able to tell me how to improve the quality of what I upload? The original paper is slightly off white... what am I doing wrong???

Beautifully drawn Fleur! Try changing your photo to grayscale before uploading it!

I love graphite! It has to be one of my 3 favorite mediums. Is the attached photo more accurate as to how it actually looks? Still not off white but it is less blue???

Thanks Sandy for doing that.... the values aren't quite that dark... maybe they should be??? :)
Thanks Deepat, I've done what you suggested and here it is hopefully.
But I do get frustrated when I upload, because the results never really look like the original.... grump grump grump!!!
Thanks for looking and thanks for the advice and picture both of you!

What a wonderful expression. We expect so much of digital stuff, sometimes it works, sometimes not.

Beautiful shading and composition. I really like the definition in the jeans.

This is a beautiful job.

I have had the same problem with my paper turning blue or gray, even if I scan instead of use the camera. I haven't found a solution either. I have been working in cp lately and that doesn't seem to have the same problem.

Glad you posted. I love graphite when it is done well (which yours is).
