It's a very low price for a 16" x 19" piece, but you knew you were taking a risk when listing it for $0.99.

That certainly is a crazy price - and I really like that painting! :)

I'm new to selling on ebay but I've always been a bit baffled why people start at 0.99 with nr. If you only get one bid you'll never know whether they would have paid a decent price or not.

Sometimes I think there should be a new ebay rule which forces artists to start their auctions at a decent amount - then good work doesn't go for give-away prices and buyers will stop expecting to be able to get it for give-away prices :D

I listed it for 99 cents because I got sick and tired of relisting it and moving it in and out of the store for 12 months.

I'm really surprised it didn't sell straight away - I thought it was great! On the positive side though, you should have a very happy customer and hopefully they'll come back for more :)

I think my buyer must have took pity on me, she already owns about 8 of my paintings. lol Bless her heart.

No Patty, you're taking this the wrong way. I'm not directing my answer at you. I'm in a s*itty mood. I't just a general comment.
I would'nt intentionally insult anyone here.

Te,
Are you really going to stop selling on $bay?
:wink2:

I thought you were as addicted as I am to $bay.

Like any addiction Nina, it cost mega $$$$ once you're hooked. I can't afford it.

Thanks anyway for your support.

Thanks Sandra. :)

Thank you everyone and I appologize for any offence taken.

...........

I completely understand, Te!
:)

I thought you mentioned in the past, that you were going to stop selling on $bay and then you didn't.
:)

My memory doesn't always serve me well.
:wink2:

If you do stop selling on $bay, I hope you will continue to post on this forum!

I bet your buyer was thrilled to get another of your paintings at such a bargain. It can really be a bummer when they sell for so low. At least you know it is going to a good home...

sorry to see something go for such a low price, sometimes that hurts more than them not selling as you can at least hang onto the hope of a good price in the future....

Te why not take a break till mid Jan or so rather than leaving altogether, seems ebay will be dead as a doornail until then and only add further to your discouragement not to mention emptying your pockets.... :(

I too am selling zilch at the moment so I'm redirecting my energies into painting gifts for family and friends for now....

I wasn't sure if you posted this thread cause you were fishing for compliments or what, 2 b purrfectly honest - since you know the chance we all take listing items for low starting prices, especially during this time of the year!...

I was being overly optimistic. It blew up in my face and it bloody well hurt.

I was looking for shoulders to cry on.
