Hi Tam, I am amazed how fast you get these beautiful paintings done.
This one is a fire work of colour. I like the colours popping out from the head. The eyes done in the dark colour is great touch and the lips..oh those lips. Just enough detail to mix very well with all the lovely exploding colours. The dabs of black outline or Prussian blue, I cant tell are really catchy...Really brings me in the painting..and the hidden objects pop out.

Tam this is spiritual and a brilliant tribute too...I like the effect of your aura-movement surrounding Kachina.

Well...how things change. And I mean change. Thank you ALL for the wonderful words and encouragement ALWAYS!!! I hope I didn't mess her up too bad for you...she whispered late after posting her (posted too soon sorry should've waited a day), so I...well I jumped all over that (except for the change in the eyes...those were inspired by that GORGEOUS portrait Pi just posted). Just seemed too erratic for the message intended. She was dry enough today to experiment with framing. NOW I need your advice. My son comes over here during the day and uses my computer all the time...he saw this and claimed it for his own (he had asked for a painting for Christmas -- I was actually working on another for him but oh well...). So, anyway, my question is -- how to frame? Gold as shown below....

(sorry for the crooked pic)

Detail so you can kinda see the application closer...

OR....a simple black frame like I did with Frozen - seen here. It's just a simple box frame (bought the strips of wood and framed her (KNEW taking shop vs. home ec would pay off one day!)) painted black. OR I could paint the gold frame above black???

Whatcha think? She's 24 x 18 so I don't know if size has something to do with framing etc. either...new area completely for me guys...

I'm a pretty lucky Mother too. He's the most wonderful son in the world. :)

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE FRAME THE FRAME?!?! THE FRAME, DANIEL?!

Hi Tam,

wow, this has changed a lot!!! It looks so different... I reallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallylikeitalotnow!!! (Not that I didn't before...LOL.. but now it really speaks to me.)
The look is gorgeous. Very... full of hope? And relief? But what I REALLY like is the hands. So much in these hands!

Okay, but you wanted to hear something about the frame. Well, here is the opinion of a woman who has never ever framed a single painting... ha ha ha! But I will, soon!
I am usually not very much for golden frames, because I feel they take away from the painting. So my VERY first thought was "ah, no, not gold". But I kept looking at it, and really, in this case, it works extremely well for me, because it is bright and glows... just as the woman's face. So it underlines that expression on the face... for me, that is.
So: I would leave it in the golden frame.

Tam first I have to say that this painting looks completely changed...I like how you pulled the others out of the paint...the grasping hands rock! I kinda like the gold frame best, as it seems to tap into the glows of the painting itself and bring them out more.
