MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Never did a deer before. For a while he looked like a tall fox with an arthritic hip.

Kathleen, nice deer, I recognized it immediately. As I have them walking constantly through my back yard, his head is a bit large for his body. But nonetheless, I love the snow and the trees in the bg. So nice.

I never saw any deer growing up in the Bronx.... but in Ohio they are everywhere.... one thing about painting is how it really makes you SEE. I never really saw how these Ohio deer have white on their necks under their chins until I painted it.

Kathleen, one thing I have found out..if the deer looks funny, paint a tree where it covers the funny part.... This card makes me feel like Christmas.. :) Janice

Sugar tree - - that is my working theory on hands and feet too.... make the grass grow or give them flowers to hold... anything to avoid having to paint them! Next year I'll paint just a tree and call it "Deer Waiting Behind Oak". :D
Caroline, Wayne,Gilberte - thanks - lets see how it looks when I get it reproduced.
Earth-bot, Michael Ann, Tam - thanks for your kind words. The borders are Photoshopped in.
