This is intriguing. It looked like great slabs of the mineral mica. In addition the colors you've chosen give it a feel of antiquity. :)

Thank you for your kind comments.

The material is only acrylic. I thought of mica, but decided it would distract from the graphic nature of the work.

I don't think it's successful. Therefore I intend to pursue this extensively, going larger and larger and experimenting with the tension between the black and white.

And, like I think Kline was really doing, the work will perhaps take on a figurative narrative. (look at his black and whites again!)

I totally agree -- I can see something in this that's already figurative and just needs developed...
