Assorted Peppers

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
How does this hold up next to my other work?

The form and drawing are strong...the paint application and color don't seem as brilliant as some of your others. Sill, it is a good piece.

Fabulous Gavin! I looked at your web page, and it holds up..amazingly.
Beautiful colours, lights, darks, and shadows..everything.
I also like the layout and dark background.

Wonderful arrangement....These peppers are scattered with such disregard and abandon (this is a good thing) They have attitude.
After staring for a while it seems the third one from the top seems a bit angular on one side? The top is reading very black and the shadows very blue but thats probably a digital thing?

Thanks! Nope it's not a digital thing -they are blue! I have been taking (minor) color liberties...

lol Kathleen @ peppers with an attitude!! Most things that KNOW they're hot DO have one. ;)

I like the blue shadows and the previously mentioned twig shapes. Great use of white space.

Gavin
blue shadows and peppery stems
it's very good work
the applied technique is different from what you show us normally, this probably was less time consuming ,the arrangement of the peppers are meticulously layed out as your other work.

Compared to your previous stillifes, this is IMHO a colder one ... or is it the white napkin ? My two Eurocents, just two ...

 really appreciate the warm and cold interface of the table top covering.
