Did not post here for a while.
Sandi, remember your photo :foiled peppers?
Well, I tried. Did not come out on the foil, so I decided to do a variation on the "ice", kind of:D
Colors did not come out exact as in the painting sorry to say:(
But ...

What a fun painting your "Pepper's On Ice" you must be a fast painter. I love the composition and colors you chose!
I wonder if maybe your yellow-orange pepper on the right might be floating a bit. Meaning maybe you might need a slight shadow indication beneth it. What do you think?
Overall it's a terrific painting!

Thank You very much Kathy for the comments and suggestions.I wish I would be a fast painter... Plus, I teach every day exept Saturday and Sunday and this and that...
It is a little bit darker reflection under this pepper in the real painting, but I just somehow did not think of combining shadow with reflection, I thought that if I to put the shadow it would not look like it is on ice? but then I am painting only for three years so I am learning as I go.
Sandi generously offered us a photo of this peppers "for rent",
only her peppers lying on the foil, which I did not master to depict so, I retreated to the "ice".:D

Hi Julia:
I have been going blind looking at your pepper I critiqued. Now I know what it needs is what is call "Accents". Near the bottom of the pepper where the pepper and the ice meet. The pepper would have a darker value thus giving it a more planted feeling.
Best,
Kathy:D

OMG! These came out great, Julia! The ice is fantastic, it adds a wonderful sensory tension between hot and spicy foods and cold and sweet foods. The ice reflections are yummy like popsicles.
Delightful!
Crtique? I agree with Kathleen, that the one pepper could use a darker yellow (cad yellow?) to it's bottom to anchor. But even so, it's the most beautiful yellow pepper I've ever seen. Love your color choices and the clean crisp transluscent glow about it.
