Hi Marc,
My, but these are both SOOO good! The light is tremendous, more exuberant in the PA study, more subdued in your pastel but both are real gems. Love the composition, inviting and such depth.

If I can ask... What is the Schmid pallet? How long ago was the oil study done? It is great!

Just saw this.
The original study was done in July 2003.

Schmid's palette:

Titanium white
cad lemon yellow
cad yellow deep
yellow ochre light
cad red light
terra rosa
transparent oxide red
alizarin permenant
cobalt blue light
ultramarine blue deep
viridian

He adds other pigments from time to time, but this is his basic core palette.

Additions:
Auereolin
cobalt violet light
cad orange
cad yellow
english red light
