Title: Plums and Pomegranates
Year Created: 2004
Dimension: 16 x 16 inch (40 x 40 cm)
Allow digital alterations?: Yes!
There's still somewhat glare to the right (bad light today)
What can I say..fruits are always nice to paint.
At the moment I like the combination of the oils on canvas(very patient) and the quick works on paper.
MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:

I am speechless Caroline! Plums are my favourite and my mouth is watering ;)

This is extraordinary! The colors are lush and the pomegranates actually look like pomegranates......Way to go!

Caroline, this is stunning, I want to grab that plum! I've done plums before and I kow they're hard to do--you've done a masterful job here. Bravo!

desirable blend of line/form. the colors are spot on.
this fruit is all very good for you and us now. eat up.
i have one apple(no plums or poms) left today...already had one. if
one is good then two must be better.
i enjoy both genres.

this is so beautiful! i love the composition and that blue/purple ring of light on the plum! it undulates with color and texture. i think you are finished..

Gosh, those pomegranates are well done ...
missing a bit of velvety light on the plums (wouldn't know how to do it myself :wink2: )
Me too, I like to switch from canvas to paper ... in between drying ... or so !

I like your rich colors and the composition being a jumbled up pile of fruits suggestive of a bountiful harvest.

REALLY NICE WORK! i just recently attended a workshop where a Still Life was set up using Pomegranates. Everyone had a really hard time trying capture their likeness. Wait until they see what you have done. Great Job!

Lucious color and mouth watering depiction, Caroline. Pomegranates remind me of love so much - the bitter-sweet of it all and how you have to get past the tough exterior and then dig out all the seeds of preconceived notions to get to the soft membrane of heart...
And plums, well...I just like them period. ;)
