I like to post here, but this is the last work I have photographed. This was my junior year of high school. I was always terribly behind in my projects so I did this sketch in two class periods, so I could turn it in before the end of the schoolday and not fail my art class for incompleteness. (I think I still had too few projects turned in to pass though.) Always the slowpoke http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

Done in #2 pencil on sketching paper. Pencil has really worn off and faded and the paper is all flimsy (of course, I know.) And the picture is really crappy.

You could never guess who I featured in all my high school art projects. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif Anyways I just get a kick out of posting. For the last time for a while... http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/frown.gif But I'll still be here checking out YOUR work!

Girl...you've got to let go of your insecurites and just "BE". I think this pic is really good. Try selling this one on ebay!I only have one favor to ask...try painting more. Quit calling your work "crappy". You deserve better than that http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/wink.gif

Well then sweetie, get drawing! http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/wink.gif
You could have something to post within the day.
You know, your words could be written by myself. I was the SAME way in school! I remember trying to get asignments done last minute. I wasn't good at illustration, and my best friend wasn't good at lettering and design. We spent our lunch hour in the library scrambling to complete our assignments- him sketching for MY illustration, and me finishing the lettering on HIS work! We turned them in and both got an 'A'.
You are very fortunate to have your work from highschool. I kept nothing. And I think if I could have looked at my work over the years, I might have realised a lot sooner that I had something worthwhile to continue on.
So, go to an art store this week and get yourself some supplies. I want to see more from you very soon. NEW stuff! http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif
Don't waste this talent!

What I meant by crappy was that I took these pictures with an old jumpy video camerea and then froze a still shot. The picture comes out grainy and a little distorted. But alas the old unpredictable thing has died and I have no money to go digital yet...
P.S. Thanks for the encouragement! http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif
