View Full Version : Do I need a buffer for acid free foam core?

I use 100% Rag mat board and Bienfang acid-free foam core when framing my originals. I have never put any sort of buffer between my art and the acid-free foam core. Is it necessary to do so? Almost seems like overkill.

I wouldn't have thought it was necessary.

If you were framing something really ,really old and valuable then I would go for the two ply barrier, crecent 1153 between the art and the AFFC. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother.
