Bryan, The colour of his feathers that green is SUPERB...what colours did you mix/use for that?
Also love the look in his eye.

He looks annoyed...didn't you feed him? I don't think I've ever seen a duck "portrait" before and am kinda missing the rest of him. :crying: Anatomy looks good...color too. Maybe some background to soften some of the edges?

LOL! Great fun! Why am I thinking "Bond. James Bond" here?!
Love it! Unique and well done.

originally I was planning on background, but it was so odd just seeing a head I decided just to leave it out and go traditional portrait style with no background.
This duck was so cute. he sat right next to me and infront and was very gentle taking my rice crispy treats. If anyone goes to Monhegan Island make sure you bring extra blue berry pancakes to feed the ducks; they are very nice.
Lisa: viridian hue green.. its also sold as pthalo green I believe... very powerful green and other than mallard feathers I don't know what else it can be used for.

the color is good, anatomy of the duck is good. I only add another painting layer to the background, nice work

well done james(bond). very rich color, strong rendering. the lower left of the neck seems to
recess in a way that is not logical.

this painting is sooo great :D it is really well done..and so serious, calm and SINISTER..i would put it in a really serious and formal frame and call it done. very nice!! you should NAME him..Maxwell or Sigmund or something (printed on a plaque under the frame).. so how long did he sit for you in order to get his portrait done? :wink2:

Please do it again with a suggestion of the background like in the photograph. That would be soooooo nice. The crop stands well on its own though.
Indeed he has a raise of the eyebrow Sean Connery has.
Superb work, frame it.
