She looks very serene. I like the silk texture of the blouse. I like both images.
I see from your images you like to use palettes with strong contrasts.

Sometimes i wonder (silly question perhaps :) ) if this type of drawing can be achieved drawing enterily free hand ( i mean, for example, without the help of tools to draw straight lines, vector drawing etc). Some details seem too perfect, like the handbag.

It's all free hand...

Wow! I can`t believe it. I guess it takes a lot of practice to achieve something like that (or have the blessing to be naturally gifted).

How long does it take to do something like this? Did you draw it with a wacom?

You have done a wonderful job   just one small thing it looks like she has her shoes on the wrong feet :)

I use a wacom of course (the original Intous). It takes me several days to complete one of these - but I'm not keeping track of time - I sit back and relax every so often - and post in forums aparently.

here's a closeup of the area I'm working on right now (at 100% magnification - that is no magnification or shrinkage at all), I have pretty small hands so I can look at my own hands even when drawing a girl, I just set up a mirror next to my monitor and paint what I see, it's the only reference i need usually (in this case I have a ref for the umbrella - but I changed the design a bit on that as well)

that laze is killing me! I still have to draw the laze under her skirt...

I'm not sure about the shoes - I honestly can't see what's wrong but then again I don't wear this sort of things so I wouldn't know how they should look...

Your right there is nothing wrong when I look at the big image, sorry about that captan but the smaller image does not show the detail and thats why they looked wrong :)

actually the big image is a revised version so if there was something wrong you were probably right - I was looking at a newer version that's all.

my current version (bag is gone - but only temporarily)
