I really like the hair on this, it seems to have a life of its own. I enjoy the soft tones of blues and yellow, and the face is put together nicely. The subject might pop more if you darkened the background though. ;)

very nice. it reminds me of picasso's blue period. i think it would be perfect if some of the blue at the top part was cropped a bit ..but if its an old one, move on and move ahead. i like it as is too.

Is timid the right word. I think it's far too good for that.

I don't think it's timid at all--the lines are so strong and bold, very confident. I like this a lot. I struggle with portraits, I think you've done a great job here capturing essence and mood of the subject without getting overworked. Bravo!

The colors are fantastic! I love the blue shadow on the nose against the pink of the cheek. The greens are less effective on the planes of her face that are facing the light, but well-used on her jaw and shirt.

I really like the linework of this one, Asimo. Cool colors with a hint of what's really beneath - warmth.

I agree with Mikey about timid. I Love the blue shadows on her neck and face, and the hair is very original, delightful

Thanks for all the feedback. When i use the word timid, I meant that I went at it kind of unsure and careful....not always a bad thing I guess.

I think it might have been interesting if you had continued this way. However, if you mean it was not possible to fully engage with the creative process doing this kind of work, then you have done well to follow your convictions.
