Well, it's all over but the shouting! My show was this past Saturday and was a lot of fun. We had around 100 people come and sold some framed prints, notecards and Christmas cards. I had so much help getting ready for this show from my parents, sisters and my husband and kids. I even had a lot of help from someone some of you know!

I thought I'd share some pictures with you. I"m allready planning for next year's extravaganza!!
These first few pics are of the paintings and the fabulous track lighting my husband put up! :o

The next ones are of the tables we sold notecards, prints and frames at:

And look who came to see me and was a huge help getting ready for the show! Lisa (peoplepainter)!! It was a thrill to meet her and she was such a big help! These pictures are all ones she took (Thanks again!) We had a great time!

And finally, my wonderful husband and I. He has been so supportive through the whol thing! He's the greatest!

Thanks for looking,

Seems like it was fabulous event. Musta have taken almost forever to organise and run it be it small or big show. Even I had worked to organise a couple of art exhibitions in my college few years back and was it tiring. But all the worth (especailly when it's your works on display ;) )

Nice artworks you've got JulieBoyles, have you made these digitally using a mouse and/or tablet, then had then printed in various sizes and stuff? Or are they actually traditional art digitally enhanced?

Julie... Bravo! I know it takes commitment to your art to really follow through, and pull off a beautiful show like this one. Your work is fabulous and the track lighting really sets them off nicely. From one artist to another, I'm soooooooo proud of you and your accomplishment! Who knows... next year I may be front and center!

Hey all! It WAS a great show. I have never seen anyone so organized in my life. It was so professional and the work was of course, fantastic. Forgive me Julie, I enjoyed seeing your artwork but meeting you took the cake!

Thanks for letting me be there! Count me in next year!

Thanks for looking Yako! I owe the neatness part to my mom who came over to help me clean house the weekend before the show! I did try to be organized (which is very unlike me) and really had to have tunnel vision for the last couple weeks just to get everything finished.

Hi Jay! These are all digital paintings done using Corel Painter 8 and a tablet and stylus. I had all the large paintings printed by Velham printing. Here's the website:http://www.velham.com/ and I'm telling you, they are great! There wouldn't have been any show without their great work!!! I started planning this around March and it grew as the year went on. I've learned a lot from this show and will make some exciting changes to next years!

Joel, you have to take partial credit for all this. YOu're the one that got me started earlier this year and I am forever grateful. The possibilities are endless with this medium and I'm really excited about some of the new things I'm trying even this month!!! I"ll be expecting you front and center next year!!!

Lisa, what can I say!! You saved me when you came early to help and your oohing and ahhing really helped boost sales! I have to agree with you though, meeting you was one of the highlights!! Thanks again my friend! :D

Thanks for looking,

It looks like you had a great show! I hope you were well rewarded for your wonderful work. My faves are the marble images. You do beautiful work.

Themanda, more than 100 people HAVE looked at your art! I bet I alone have looked at it over 100 times. LOL.

Still, Julie is brave. I agree.

Thanks Edie! Those marbles were one of the most popular that was commented on! I like them too and those black leather frames are my very favorite!

Thanks Amanda! I sent out about 150 invitations and counted on about 250 peoplel :( At one point Lisa said to me, "what are you going to do if everyone comes!" Well from that point on I was panicked!! But it all worked out fine and there was a steady stream of people, not all one big rush so it was great. Thanks for taking a look. By the way I lovve your Boston terrier painting! I went over to the other forum and looked and it is great!!

Thanks again!
