MY COMMENTS:
This is the first of my Remnants series Down on the warf, The community wharf was a fixture in every Newfoundland outport. The gasoline drums contained a ready supply of fuel for the small fishing boats, the pitchfork was used daily to unload the catch as the boat clad workers completed their tasks. The painting in this series are a gentle reminders of an industry and a way of life that is fast fading. As a way of life comes to a close the items that were an every day use are more likely to be seen in museams.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
All coments are welcome

Amazingly good realism. Was it you who painted the derelict cottage and boat a some months ago?

Excellently consistent light source; love that shadow of twig falling over the barrel - gives an indication of what's on the opposite side. Like the gradation of the greens/reds -- lovely work.
