How many of you got your kids to think that you have eyes in the back of your head?? My poor DD was in my bathroom horsing around and I said "are you out of the tub yet??" She said no but I could see her in a reflection of a picture on the opposite wall of my bedroom. I said "don't lie to me kiddo" and she was like "how did you know?"
Eyes in the back of my head. :D :p

So she proceeded to do about three things and ask me what she was doing. I got them all right of course and now she is scared. lol :) :D

Excellent job there, Mom, keep up the good work. Reflective surfaces can be a parent's best friend, can't they......

I have my kids believing that I have parents magic hearing and sight. This seems to work. Hey any control we can get is good while it last right. LOL

I love it! My DS7 gets pretty confused by all that I know, sometimes!

I used the reflection trick to catch some jr. high kids try to steal brownies and cookies on the countertop at a Subway sandwich shop that I worked at many moons ago! I could totally see them in the chrome paper towel dispenser. They denied it, I booted their cocky butts out of the store (I caught them before they took anything)! It was weeks before they came back (they usually came in every day after school).

And a little fear ain't a bad thing ;) Cute story!!! I know as a kid I wondered how the heck my parents knew what I did, what I was GONNA do, when I was lying, etc . . . but now that I look back, it was so obvious :wink2:

I got a tattoo when my dd was 10 and ds was 2 on the back of my neck that is a set of eyes. My dd was already convinced of my magical powers to see all but my son only being 2 was not. My son was sooooo scared to see my tattoo that he would run from me if I lifted my hair up or heaven forbide I wore a ponytail! It still tickles me to catch them doing something wrong and tell them it was my "eyes" that saw it!
