In the Acrylic Forum Art Show, Diane Johnson talks about lost & found edges. This is a new term to me. Could someone explain or demonstrate please.

Lemart, a lost edge is where one edge/object disappears into another. For example, the shadowed side of an object might disappear into a dark background, and reappear where more light illuminates the object (found again).

Welcome to WC Acrylic Forum! I haven't read that posting by Diane Johnson on lost and found edges. Will have to look for it. Sounds interesting!!
JamieWG's interpretation of the subject is right on!! :)

I think I understand. I believe I may have employed this in one of my pics, and will post it when I've worked out how to send attachments! In the meantime thanks for your prompt responses.

What Jamie said is right on and I will add: the eye tends to rest on a found (sharp edge), while passing by a lost (diffuse) edge.
