I found this site (http://www.northyorkmoors.com/) from a link on the BBC Click Online site. It contains wonderful photos of Yorkshire, Lake District etc taken on rambles through the region..

Look in the Archive section.

I have asked the author Don Burluraux if I can use them as references for paintings. I'll let you know his response.

Hi Doug,
I came across this site some months ago and bookmarked it. The photographs of the North York Moors are amazing. My folks live in Scarborough so its an area I know well and I've walked and visited a lot of the places depicted here. I did once make a painting from one of these photos too, but I wouldn't post it for copyright reasons. The photos certainly deserve a wider audience, so thanks for posting the link here.

Great site Doug - hope he does give permission - there are a few building ones I would love to paint. Keep us posted !!
