View Full Version : Come hither

Come hark, Come hither, of children of mine
come closer at my feet, to here my rymthe.

For at the top of the peak, at the highest of lofts
lives one, and only one, this tree with leaves of three.

It is called the bobblebabble tree, for reasons I do not know
But this is what we call it, and rightfully so.

There is only one now, but let it be said
Once there were hundreds, thousands,
but now,
all dead.

Man's greed has slaughtered them,
and three
In his quest for lumber, thought given to us for free.

So the last one now stands
high, and remote
the only way it remains this way
inacceesable, even by goat.

Let us learn, let us grow and see
that this thing is to be treasured,
this thing
we call tree.
