I have posted this as a work in progress in the wildlife forum but thought I would share the finished piece here with you all. I am not totally happy with it but I am ready to move on to another piece so here is the piece as it stands I might come back and rework the eagle at another time.

Re-work the eagle? Huh? This is great.... I only WISH I could produce art of this calibre.

By the way, what size? Canvas?

[edit] okay, i had to take a look at the WIP. 27" x 18" on watercolour paper. Can you say how you got such a nice, even blue right across the whole sky?

From what I can see this requires no further work. Eagle and everything look great, and it is beautifully rendered. Put it away, it's a success.

Glenn,
Thanks for looking! I had to laugh about your question because it is sky that I started with and I changed it 4 times before I was happy with it. My wife says that she was traumatized everytime I repainted it. After 3 tries of struggling with it, I finally broke down and got out the air brush to achieve the effect you see. (she never understands when I re-work something that she has gotten used to)
attached is the first finished sky - no airbrush just flat color with clouds painted. She wants to know if you would have re-painted it. :) I won't be offended either way.
