This is my 3rd....this time the lighthouse caught my eye...but I wanted to do it in Pastel...not a great choice with tiny detail...but I've done my best...maybe I'll get out the pastel pencils tomorrow to finish off, and get a better photo!

Hi Deirdre looks like we are the uk contingency of late sleepers. Except you are putting your time to great use = whereas I am sitting here looking at everyone elses work! :p

This has a really nice and breezy summer day look about it - one thing though is the lighthouse leaning slightly towards the house with the extra bit on the roof, and is that leaning slightly towards the lighthouse?
Mabe they are in the photo as I can't remember lol!

Yes get the pastel pencils out so you can show me how to use them :D

A lovely summer day at the beach - not at all what I saw. I guess I looked later in the day. It is hard to keep the lighthouse straight, but it looks "artistic" as it is.

Hey! This is really cool! I love it, but I must say I liked the foreground sand better before you darkened it! :crying: This picture does have a lot of depth to it. :D Beautiful!

This is absolutely gorgeous.
(No offence to the photographer)...but you have taken a photo, which didn't appeal to me, and made a beautiful painting of it.
The colours you've chosen to use have taken what could very easily have been a mundane scene and tranformed it into something appealing to view.

Now that takes talent.

Excellent work.
