hi folks,
I made a cupboard from MDF and then sponge painted it, my wife and I found a design in a magazine that we thought would look nice on our cupboard, here's the result, any thoughts welcome

Love it and didn't you say that it was going in my kitchen? Sorry, that's what I thought you'd say, but it will look lovely in your house. Good job and love the design.

thanks folks,
We're both highly pleased with the cupboard we can't keep our eyes off it lol.
lol tammy, mind you I am making a cupboard for our kitchen, similar style to this one but taller, it'll be roughly six feet high.
My wife does recommed that its not wise to paint a four foot high cupboard whilst 8 1/2 months pregnant lol, the bump tends to get in the way.
I'm hoping to make more items soon, and we're both wanting to paint more. We're going to start painting our youngest son's bed soon, I made that as well for our first son.

Great job!
So I guess next we will see photos of "the bump"? lol You two truly make a great team… It's exciting to see you compliment one another so well. I guess you will be taking a break in a week or two (from painting/carpentry, anyway - I've got 3 of my own, I know it's not a break…lol)

yeah number 4, it'll be a busy time - 4 unders 5s lol.
I've taken to painting on canvas the Bob Ross programmes I've been watching have finally got me painting. So I'll be posting them on in the landscapes and oil painting forums once I get my photographs back.

Hi Duncan,
I think you did an excellent job on the article, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
The cupboard is just beautiful. I can see why you chose that design.
I liked your other work too; you are a talented twosome :)
Has the new baby arrived yet?

thanks Ruth,
I was really pleased with the article, I enjoyed writing it, it was a great buzz when I read that they were looking at the article :D I was lucky that the lass gave me permission to go ahead
I'm forming some ideas in my head and I'm thinking of trying another kind of craft in the near future which will involve making making some timber objects then making moulds and casting them, before painting on the objects - hope to start that after the new year.
We are on the 6 day count down, baby is due on the 13th December, my wife has a feeling that it could be sooner than later :D

Hi TeAnne,
Hi ol'Rickdude,
thanks, at the time of writing nothing as yet, mind you I might take my wife for a spot of off road driving - speed things up a bit lol.
here's hoping that it won't be too long
