View Full Version : Ass Backwards Presidential Beads

No, Greg, I'm not doing another Monica bead - you'll always have the only one!

This is the Politically Correct Animal Series, started for a customer who wanted a donkey for the election, so I made her an Ass Backwards (hers has red murrini lips on the butt so it can also be Kiss My A...... well, let's not go there).

I got onto a roll making different versions (that happens with a good unabridged audio with long chapters), so now there's an elephant & zebra, and the llama's in the works. Maybe I should get a job doing lampwork at the zoo? *s*

Sharon Those beads are SUPER DUPER!

Are you ever planning on doing a class in The Netherlands?

Big hugs from Holland,

Sharon... As is the case with all of your work... these are awesome. What a great idea. (I hope you plan on wearing one- or both- of them to the polls in a few weeks!)

Thanks for sharing them. :-)

I love those ! Elephants are a big favorite with me ( not a political comment ), but the other 2 guys are great too. I always wondered when they started the animal cloning experiments why they didn't choose zebras, at least we would have been able to check out the identical stripes. I mean cloned sheep ? who can tell ! Apart from the person here who makes those lovely sheep beads of course ( sorry I have forgotten your name ! ). Fiona

OMG - I can't believe where you put the bead (butt) holes!!!!!!!!!!1 Too funny. I saw the ones you had on ebay that had elephant heads and donkey bodies and vice versa. What a Hoot.

Not enough coffee yet this morning... I clicked on the thumbnails before I really read the text and I thought - damn! those are really good - that artist would give Sharon Peters a run for her money.

ok... I will go get my coffee now. Happy Friday and GREAT JOB Sharon.

10-15-2004, 07:53 PM

10-15-2004, 09:26 PM
I love seeing your beads! These are a scream! :) I love the expression and the "in your face" sense of humor!! :D

Too cute. I like them all.

Aww, *blush!* thank you! The zebra's my favorite, too. It's made with Effetre ivory - I tried white but it was too soft & goopy, kept losing details as I worked. The ivory is stiffer and really cooperative, and I use it for all my test beads. The stripes are just really, really thin stringers of black filigrana - where the clear hits the ivory there's a color change, and it makes the stripes look more complicated. Works great for tiger cats, too! *s*

Amazingly fun work as always, Sharon. Love 'em all - makes it hard to play favorites. :) Just a thought of one of my favorite children's books - I think it's If I Ran The Zoo - where the animals go all funny colors? Would be a great combo - the animal looking back like where did that come from!?!?
Thanks so much for sharing!

10-16-2004, 09:06 AM
Sharon thanks for sharing these awesome beads. They really put a smile on my tired face this morning and I too LOVE where you put the bead holes. Too funny!

geez shaz

i thought it was the eyes wot was the seat of the soul. :wink2: :wink2: :wink2:
love em

done a quokka yet?

by the way, much as they are utterly gorgeous, arent they all one aperture short of how God made them?

regarding this anatomicaal issue, as per your current orificial quota per critter, you would be best to solely focus on making fowl. like-minded one holed shooters, to put it bluntly.

(Anyone up for a slice of quiche x fritatta?)

Other than this minor anatomical detail, they are... er.... spot  on..... show us more!!!!! (and I don't really mean that literally !!!!!!)

PS what is it with you and orifices, Sharon????? you plunder the genre soooo well....

10-18-2004, 03:55 PM
Fifi, those are BRILLIANT!

But, you already knew that.

10-27-2004, 05:33 PM
So, pookielips -- can you do an elephant with its head up its ass? Or do we have enough of those in Washington already?
