Several months ago ,before I took ill,I posted on how I had been invited to show some paintings for the Breastcancer Awareness Assoc and Zonta Australia Charity Shows ,Well as I had been so ill I was unable to do any new stuff,so I just dragged out 8 paintings (4 for each show)I had lying around the studioand put them up,Well at the BAA show the 4 sold before auction Wow!!! you could have knocked me dow wiyh a feather,thenat the Zonta show a week later that 4 sold at auction,this time they really did have to pick me up off the floor(actually I slipped on something spilt on the floor),the funniest thing was, I put up a painting Of a photo Wendee posted of her "back yard"and thats what I titled it and it sold at auction for $570 ,the charities only took 25% so it was all so successful for me as well.

The title "Wendee's Backyard" reminds me of that Ozzy garden programme Burke's Backyard:D Perhaps Wendee could start a new career????:D:D

Thanks everyone ,Its years since I have had that sort of success,its like the old days when you could make a living just from your paintings.Now I have got 6 of my miniatures to go into a mixed show in December and another 6 very large rainforest theme paintings for my solo show in Febuary,Ihave 5 more to paint.

Really glad to hear that you are doing well. Just cannot keep a good man down!! Saw about your sales etc too. I am VERY busy these days, unfortunately am not getting to paint that much but hope to in the future ...soon.
We have to keep these younger people in line ...right?
