You are good at these.
I particularly like the dribbly paint effects at the bottom. I think they are facing forward but second from the left is not (or at least that's the way I see it)

This is a very warm to hot piece!
Nice colour gradation, very effective, and the subtle figures are wonderful.
that's how I feel about using a knife..I use knife and finger..stops the fiddling and keeps one focussed on the whole of the subject..
Looks like these ladies are all facing away to me..but who cares..:D
nice series..

Another great one Lulu... Maybe "Joan of Arc's sisters" :cat:
Thanks Marty. I made the figures quite a bit brighter with yellow, blue, red and purple then knocked them back with a crimson glaze. I did want a mysterious feel to them.
Hi Gill. Thanks too! Oh yes, keeps me from fiddling that's for sure! I must try the palette knife too. But I have to say I do love painting with my fingers, must have missed out on it as a kid! lol
And yes, you are right, they are all back view:)
Thanks PastelMama and Mike. lol Mike:)
The other two are now in a gallery awaiting approval for exhibition, so fingers crossed. If they are accepted this one will go in as well.

Very creative painting. They remind me of tall elagant African woman of the Massi tribe; dancing.
Tammy, wonderful compliment - thank you!
