View Full Version : Plein Air Workshop one day Sat Oct 9th Laona Wisconsin

For everyone's awareness/interest...I am teaching/offering a plein air workshop on Saturday October the 9th, meeting in my art room at the Laona high school at 9am where I will give basic introductions...the schedule for the day, a brief discussion of my methods before taking off. This event will go on until 4pm. The event has been posted in the local Forest Republican newspaper.

The event is thru our 21st Century After School grant program whereby area high school students from 7th grade thru 12th are encouraged to participate without fee. I have one dozen portable Guerrilla paint boxes, tripods for each, Classic Artist Oils and brushes. IN the event that I do not have twelve youth signed up to participate for this first event opportunity, remaining easels and materials will then be available for interested adults.

The grant however, does not cover adult fees, which will be a most reasonable $30 fee.

Space exists beyond the projected goal of twelve participants for interested adults having their own plein air portable easel and supply set up. Again, $30...for the day. We are looking to paint at Goodman Park on the Peshtigo River.

Our interest is to expose young people and adults to the fun of painting on location, and surround them with the potential influence of other adults that already hold enthusiasm for plein air. The trade off will be that I will be on hand to instruct, critique..encourage, offer insights and so forth for a reasonable fee.

If you know of anyone in the general/regional area that might enjoy this opportunity...give 'em a call. Additional information, confirmation you'd like to participate and so forth you can contact our school counselor, Deb Kruger at 715 674-7076 or myself, though I might be in class. Often a call will be passed thru to my room, and if I have a bit of time can take the call.
