This is a watercolor based on an idea that a friend did. I liked it very much and am pretty happy with it. I'd appreciate any comments though.

good one, nice intense look on her face; I hate faces with no thoughts behind the eyes and this lady is thinkin', good job
I like the night sky, the unevenness is very pleasant...was this intentional? If you wanted smoother and yet darker, layering several washes over each other can smooth out the sky. And don't forget that Isabey, use it. but I like the sky as is...might have put more blue in it...maybe some indigo.
the skin needs a bit more of a nighttime skin color. You get some of the right feel in the skin shadows but they seem a bit grey to me. maybe more purple instead or perhaps indigo if you use that in the sky. and the midtones and highlights are too daylight
I think for the hair, though the windswept look is good idea, it is a bit too swirly...not talking detail here, when you put in those first hair underwashes make sure you organize the washes to follow the hair flow. You can still get windswept but toned down a bit.
just a few ideas but not needed...good piece.

Ok, I can see the swirly's in the hair and now that you mention it, they kind of annoy me. However I'm not sure about the skin tone. This is a good one to bring to class so I can get some help with that part don't you think? The nighttime highlights on the face are going over my head.
I do like the sky the way it is and the look on her face is what I was after but I want to know more about the night color, can't remember the one of Jenny since you SOLD IT!!! but I do remember loving the color of her face.
Thanks for the tips.
