my latest racing cars, struggled with these,
maybe because i've been doing a lot of oils,
maybe it is the composition,maybe.....

Nobody, but nobody does these race cars as well as you!
They look terrific and exciting to me.

Have to agree with Bertoni.

Does doing these in oils make the process easier?

Hi Carol

No oils makes it harder, after a while i have to stop to let them dry
otherwise they turn into mud
but i'm trying oils, because of the thicker texture and deeper shine of the colors....

thank you

Agree with everyone else, looks marvelous, but the first car looks like it has an indentation in the hood because of a light bit you put in. Does anyone else see it?

Hi Rob,
No maybes, just very good work. Interesting you are dabbling in oils, I'm about to take the plunge myself, the start of a whole new journey.

Yes I see the dent for sure. Smack dab in the middle of the hood, there is a warm shadow on the left of it and a white shine on the right. The letters synergy bow downwards slightly and the petro logo curves down the same way only making the dent more obvious. Could be meant to be there... dunno

But yeah, lots of energy... excitement in the colors. Palette seems quite cool overall but the vibrant yellow and orange jump that much more. Thanks for sharing!

Wow--I really like the purplish "splotches" all over the painting! For me, that really heightens the sense motion/action. Very nice work.

Rob, what's the process as you paint your cars? As a fellow car painter, I'm curious.
