This one is the second of the same serie, this time it's the view from the old port...

If you want to see a bigger image, there is one here (http://www.studio224.com/aqua/img_aqua/carrasqueira_big.jpg) .

Thanks for looking...

PS (There is a third one coming in the same serie)

I think I like this one better than your first one. I love your choice of colours and what you did with them. I also like the wide format. Very nice http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

Beautiful! The water is so shimmery. Love the colors and the wide format, too.

This is excellent. I like the subdued lighting and the "dead-on" capture of the low tide look and feel. Great painting! http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

Question: Is this view from a different day? I ask because the lighting is so different from your first painting of this series.

Hi Bob,

this is the same day but in late afternoon, the sun was a little subdued and there was a feeling of quietness. In the first painting, I wanted to convey an "orgy" of colors, around the little red house. That's how I saw it anyway...

Thanks for the compliment!

Thank you Hugh, I didn't realize it was so peaceful until I looked at the painting from some distance!
