I LOVE IT!! http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

The texture and colors, the abstractness (is that a word?) ... everything about it is terrific. Super painting. If it were mine, it would already be on a wall!

Question: Are you using stencils or masks of the forms to get the sharp edges or some other technique?

Bob, thank you! Tape. I used only tape this time. I've done others like this but with rounded forms, and for those I had to cut templates out of tracing paper.

Thanks again.

This is a very interesting piece, Victoria. The composition is great, and I love the colours!
How did you achieve the splatter effect? I've tried using a toothbrush, and ended up with more paint on me than the painting! http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/mad.gif

Thanks, Mary.

Kandiman: Thank you. Toothbrush. Works fine for me. Maybe you were holding it backwards?? http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I love your angles and the shadows are so crisp that you really get the feeling of bright hot sunshine! I like your stuff!

I like the way the diagonals lead the eye in, and the combination of sharp lines and splatter works very well, its great,

Wow!

I love it; in fact, I'm inspired to try something similar myself. I love the sharp angles and the texture from the splatter.

Please keep them coming!
