Does anybody know how to add pictures to an EBAY listing (after a bid has been placed). Seems to me EBAY would want to allow it - they can charge more. The first picture is the one on my listing - I think the additional 3 show more depth.....am I outta luck?

I'm not sure but I think the only way you can do this is , that you can 'add' information to the auction and it will show up farther down below on the page. I don't think it will be with the original description.

If you host your pics elsewhere you could add them in by using html codes using your own image host in the codes .... making sense?

Great bead by the way!!

Thanks Joyce - I get the adding to description part - but that only allows me to add more word description. I suppose I could put more pictures out on my website, but I can't put an HTML to my website in my EBAY add - at least that's what happened the last time I tried - it flagged it and said it was prohibited (which makes sense because it would bleed business off EBAY to private sites). That's why I only refer to my website as normabrink.com (no direct link).

hmmm... I guess I just learned a lesson the hard way - at least there's already a bidder on this one!

I just won't be in such a hurry to list future ones until I'm really satisfied with the pictures!

Norma-

If you host your pics at your site can't you just add the html codes to your auction as in:

<img src="http:// la la la.. this is where you host the pic at and the code for it>

and wouldn't it show up as the picture?

You can try it and preview it to see if it works and if not just don't save the changes added to the description.

I'll give that a try Joyce - it'll have to wait 'til after church  though! Thanks so much for the advice....I'm still baffled as to what possible reason EBAY has for not allow to add pix....but then, I'm baffled by LOTS of things! :wink2:

It's a beautiful day here in Michigan - yes?
Enjoy!

try going to your listing and looking the the revise listing and click on it. I think this is where you need to go.

IFyou host your pictures on your own site you can change your pictures. Just resave the photo as the same name as the one you have up ...and then upload...I do my listing as an uploaded image...I don't put everything into the saved image but I could...then it is not difficult to make that picture look better and change or fix a typo that you missed...

Hi Norma, I actually use the ebay lister and it specifically states that you may not make any changes if 1. there's less than 12 hours left on your auction or 2. if there are any bids on your auction. I don't know anything about any other listing process...but I don't think ebay will let you edit your listing because you have a bid...Patti

thanks for the help everybody - Jazzcurls sums it up well though. Once you have a bidder - you can only do a couple of revisions - adding pix is NOT one of them. Just last night I revised 4 of my new listings because somehow the pix got duplicated - no problems there (no bidders yet).

It just seems odd that you can't - oh well! Maybe I'll drop something in the old EBAY suggestion box.....

THanks again for all your suggestions!
