These are males in their Spring colours, and they abound around here and in my garden, right now. Colours are authentic.
They are now framed and are awaiting buyers in the local arts and craft shop.
On MDF board in Acrylic, approx size postcard for the 2 smallest.

I normally paint seascapes and this is the second time I've tried to paint blue wrens, but the other 2 sold so I thought I'd try again.

Hi Jane.. very nice, brilliant blues. I have a couple of books on painting birds and thought I might try one day. These look like they were fun to paint. Keep up the great work and keep painting them!

Hi Eileen, Angie and Marc,
thanks for looking and your kind comments.
I have a family of red wing blue wrens who come to my terrace door several times a day as they are feeding nestlings, I will try and capture them soon. They are interesting as there's mum, dad and four of last years babies who all take care of this years brood, they all chatter as they busily collect food and I expect the 'four' will be sent away at the end of this season.last year a son 'coloured up'' and he was sent packing.
I'm also planning on a landscape of Perth including our native black swans.
I'll show later.
Thanks again
Jane.
