I did a barn a couple of weeks ago, myself...although it was an"Autumn Barn" :D
This is beautiful! I love how the light is striking the barn and making it glow. Good job!

Bright, sunny, summery..lovely! I love how you did the end of the barn with the light....just beautiful!
The only thing I am little unsure of is the perspective on the roof lines..but it is an old barn so it probably is like that. Just wasn't quite sure...but you can ignore me.

I'm not sure about the perspective either cause I don't really know how, so just free handed it in as best I could.

The painting has all the the light of summer...just beautifull...

Ooooooohhh, Great barn, Paula, and you have really captured the summer light.

Thanks Branco & Kate!!
I find it really difficult to paint this type of roof. In the reference photo, the lower portion of this roof is just black and top portion is blah also. Does anyone know how I could jazz it up a bit?
Thank you for your kind comments. It was just a fun thing to do on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

I wouldn't worry about it, Paula. I am not sure it is wrong...it doesn't seem to bother anyone else and frankly on looking at it again it is probably just how it all works going off into the distance.
It's a nice painting...sign it and frame it!

Nice! Rich farmer with BEEEEG barn! Well done!
wow Paula...I love the barn front in this! A real nice solidity to this one and yet a touch of whimsey in the foreground flowers...I like!

Thanks Sandy, Sooz, & Sue!!
Kitty just said something in another thread that made a lot of sense. Not every painting you produce has to be GREAT. Have not been satisfied with this painting because to me it looks cartoonish, but as Kitty said...maybe I should just let it go and move on.
Thanks you guys!!
