A little while back I posted this painting asking for name suggestions, it was also posted on structured critiques forum.
After a lot of repainting I've finally finished this piece and named it 'The Portress'......thank you romell! :) thank you to everyone for their suggestions and kind comments.
The first thumbnail is the original posted pic......the second the finished painting.

Very nice painting. I like your modification on the background - now it looks that she had a long journey. Job well done.

I loved it before and I love it after...a beautiful woman going about her mundane task, looking content (isnt that a little of all woman?)

This turned out wonderfully. I like the changes you made. It makes everything softer while leaving the woman as the main subject. The difference in the surroundings and the labor that she is doing is a nice contrast.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. I am so happy with the end result and I owe a big thanks to Sue (Dyin) and Henrik for their wonderful imput and insight.
I love her so much I'm going to do another with the same kind of feel, colours and textures.
