I've been doing some experimenting with glazing and scumbling...This is one of the experiments. Had this posted in oils with a lousy photo, but finally got a decent shot, so thought I'd post in here. Any comments welcome.

Thanks! This was an interesting experiment. It was a bit too tedious for my temperment, but I learned a lot.

My goal is to be able to loosen up (I really enjoy seeing your work BTW).

Linda,

It doesn't look tight to me. It has a very charming feel! I know what you mean about the glazing. If I wait 2 days to put on the next one, I have lost my impetus for the painting. On my apples I underpainted it in greyscale and used colors glazes mostly next to each other and a little heavier paint too. I couldn't wait it out! :(

I love the contrasting blues, greens and oranges in this. The glass is very nice, too. I don't have much patience with glazing either. Nora
