Ooh, that fire and ice one is...uh...COOL! No, it's HOT! :)

I must've been uploading my pics at the same time you started this thread. Maybe someone can merge our Saturday S&Ts later.

I Really, Really Love your bottom bead and it's colors. I could just see an Orange County choppers bike made out out of that color.... by the way, how much would one like that cost me?

OOOOOHHHH, MR. BOOGER! I LOVE your fire beads! It's silly how excited I get when I see the name Booger on a show and tell! The two of you have changed the meaning of that word for me FOREVER! BTW...whats with the baking soda? Whats that do? I read an article about it once, but the beads they showed were matte, almost ancient looking....nothing like your beauty!

It's made with Dark Violet, black, orange, white, and some stringer I made using a dk gray trans. over white with black and dk. gray stripes.

All I managed to make was one set this week. Only torched twice and mainly did a lot of playing and experimenting with colors doing one test bead each time...... Was not thrilled with much.

Here is one set I managed to do- and of course you know which FRIT I used! LOL :p

Well, mine isn't spectacular but I'm gonna post it anyway. I know a woman from Hospice, and she asked if I could make vials to put aromatherapy oils in. I said I had never tried, but my good friend Galadriel pipes up and says I can do anything. So here I am this morning trying to make a vial... I have a 3/16 mandrel, and decide to do a hollow hanging off the end. Great idea, till I get it too hot! It starts stretching toward my lap, so I grab a punty and push it onto the free end, and try rotating it. However it is already over an inch long! I finally gave up trying to make it round, and decorated the little bugger. So here is my first vial. Anyone know where to get corks this teeny?

Happy Saturday everyone!!! Great start to the weekend.

Here is a sorry attempt at sunflowers. I knew what I wanted to do in my head but I haven't gotten it to transfer to the glass yet. :( The others just some round ones I was goofing around with. I hadn't made any round beads in forever so I made myself make a few so I didn't forget how. They are all light amber with yellow and brown.

Hi! I love your stars!!! what do you make with them? I made some the other day and now I am not sure how to turn them into pendants - I would like to attach mine to leather cording - any tips?

I admire everyone's show and tell every day! I am inspired to try everything - I posted some pics of mine under First pics - what do you think" so I won't post here too....Show and tell could be addicting...I appreciate everyone's opinion since your not my Mom or Husband! They like everything! ;)

Thanks, Shauna

Shauna-
I make some large pendants and stars that need to be hung so the hole side of the bead shows (am I making sense?!) I do them like this (See pics below)
You can use a double loop of wire or leather, and loop it through itself, or crimp it above the pedant, and string up from there. I know that sounds confusing, but I think you will see what I mean.
Have fun!

Wow, beautiful beads as always!

Today is my first year anniversary making glass beads. I made the first pic a year ago and the second pic a week ago. Can you see the progress? Hope so. :)
