Sejal, there are many schools that will take you if you have a good portfolio. Examples, among many are:

1. Rhode Island School of Design in Rhode Island
2. Pratt Institute in Brooklyn NY
3. School of Visual Arts in NY
4. Parsons School of Design in NY
5. Univ of the Arts in Philadelphia
6. Otis School of Art
7. Ringling School of Art in Florida
8.Cleveland School of art, in Cleveland OHio
9. Kansas College of Art in Kansas City

I should note that these are just a few examples and are not presented in any particular order. Moreover, They are mostly east coast school. There are a number of fine school in the West Coast as well. However, I am not as familiar with them.

Also, different schools have varying strengths in various areas of art. Cleveland is more drawing and traditional oriented for example. Some schools are better in design or in sculpture. For example, if you are into glass/ceremics, I would recommend the State Univ of NY at Alfred.

If you are into fine art only such as painting or drawing, you might not want any of these school. You might prefer an Atlier school. Do a search for the "art renewal centers>" They don't give degrees but have some top artists teaching painting and drawing schools and are generally less expensive.

If you want design such as fashion design, you should look at Fashion Institute of Technology in NY. If you want graphic arts, consider Carnegie Melon in Pittsburth, Rochester Institute of Technology, Virginia Commonwealth University as well as the schools noted above.

Good luck
