I just saw hubby off to the airport...he's got to work out of town this week. And guess where he's going...NYC..home of the Republican National Convention and tons of protestors. He said he's going to stay on Long Island and not venture off this week...I don't blame him.

I"m off to work today...then karate tonight with the boys. Guess I'll torch after they go to bed...trying to build up some stock to make jewelry with later. Have a couple of shows coming up in October and December...

Back to work today after a week's vacation :crying: Dad's staying home with the boys today and tomorrow and then off to school on Wednesday! Neither of the kids are looking forward to going back!

Getting ready for work....my secretary is gone today again....back tomorrow....ohhhh how I miss her!! Busy day here....LOTS going on at work then my class starts tonight 1700 to 2100.......ohhhhh the joy!!

The good news this week..............I only have to work today and tomorrow...then I am OFF to Glass Stock!!! Don't have to go back to work until Thursday next week.............ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I sooo need a break from everything!!!

I'm headed across the Mobile Bay this morning for a 7:30 meeting, and then tackling a list a mile long! DD Holly was in town for the weekend and I did not work at all -- I've got errands and work to take care of before we head to Portland tomorrow! I get to meet Katie soon! :)

Oh, I've got to run outside and check out the setting moon -- cool! :cool:

Haven't had a chance to check out the moon yet although my father called me last night at 11:00 (yes, I was asleep by an hour!!!) to tell me how fabulous it looked. :mad:
Looking forward to the drum circle tonight though; hope the sky is clear.
Students show up today. I had one of the anxiety dreams this morning before I woke up (too early). Both of the students I interpret for have seperate home rooms but the asst.principal said he'd put them together since I'm the only interpreter on staff now. In my dream I was asking someone where the girls were; she told me and I headed down the hall full steam. Then I realized I'd never heard the name of the homeroom teacher before and didn't have a clue where I was going. Stress????? It's going to be a long year.

Last day to sleep in. School starts for DS tomorrow. He is so NOT a morning person. Grumpy, grumpy. Can't imagine who he takes after.... :rolleyes: My son mentioned the moon was beautiful last night, also. He tried to get a picture, but the clouds rolled in. Wish I'd seen it. I'm off to get a few things done.

Sounds like you all have a mission today. Good Luck with all the getting the kiddies out of bed scenerios!!! I tip my cup of coffee to all you teachers that are waiting to welcome the little lovelies back!!! :clap:

DH and I had an adventure yesterday, that continues today. Took sectional up to Todd and roommates. Their room really, how do the kids put it, Oh, Yeah "It Rocks". Drove another 45 mintues to visit with inlaws, that was nice, then started home. About halfway (1 1/2 hrs away) our alternator seized up, of course it was 7:00pm on a Sunday night!!! So call to DD and she and SIL drove up and picked us up. Got a really good view of that beautiful moon! Finally got home at ll:30 p.m now we get to run back today and fix it and drive it home. :D :D Ain't Life Wonderful!!!!

The good news is I still managed to make a dozen necklaces and 6 sterling rings during all the mechanical mess!!

I can't believe it back to school already!
Well I have a busy day today & I'm hoping I get some torch time. Its my litle girls day to visit her grandma so I will get a few hours to myself.
I missed the moon last night I hope Its a clear sky tonight. I love Harvest moons. Everyone have a great day!

Gosh, you all get up early ! I have to tell you though there is something to look forward to....after years of getting up at 5:30 to get to the hospital for work at 6:45 ...it finally happened. My kids are all gone, my DH still works, so the house is mine, mine, mine..all day ..and I LOVE it !!!! Normally I make beads unti 2-3am and then sleep until 11, however my episode of bronchitis is making sleep next to impossible. That coughing nosie I make wakes me up every time :)
Had to cancel the trip to St. Louis to see the sweet baboo until this weekend. Didn't want him sick too.
For those of you off to the working world..may the day be good to you so that you have energy to toch when you get home...and may the sweet bead fairy be good to us all today :)

Good morning all!

How did I get so busy that I haven't been popping in here every morning??

I'm off to work shortly, kids go back to school on Thurs after a visitation day on Wed.

From then on I'll have a brand new schedule. M-Thur 10-3, every other Fri 10-1, and at the most 1 Saturday a month. And for the first time in TWO YEARS, no homework for me! That means 1/2 to 1 day of torching or other bead related activities every week that doesn't happen after 10 pm!

I'm going to have to work on disciplining myself to not get distracted. Who am I kidding, I'll be on the torch 30 seconds after the kids are on the bus.

DH is already helping me to have more time in the studio. He bought me a small TV and a small cheap DVD player. So now if I really really need to see something on the tv I won't be sacrificing torch time! My own CD player is next (which is what we went looking for, lol).

This is the moon out our back yard this morning, the dot in the left corner. You can't really see because the picture came out so dark but we have 3 deer in the field. What a beautiful morning. :clap:

Oh Rae........ that is beautiful! What a lovely way to wake up!! We saw that moon on the drive home last night - it was surounded by all the clouds that were breaking up and was absolutely gorgeous!

Good morning everyone. Brenna and I are eating up our last lazy morning of summer - tomorrow it all begins for us...... sigh.... :crying: :crying: I am SO not ready - there's still a whole list of things we never got to do this summer... After Jordan gets up we need to head out to get a backpack for him (His got stolen at Ozfest a couple of weeks ago) and a lunchbag for Brenna.. Tonight is the ice cream social at Brenna's school so they can see their classrooms, etc.... And then tomorrow I'll be back here bright and early with the MI crew...
