This is rather macabre. You techinque is good, but the image is very disturbing.

I have to agree with Sassybird...this image is disturbing....so I'm guessing that's the affect you were after!

Personally I prefer the images on your homepage....you have a real talent for bringing mood, emotion and expression to your faces!

Kind Regards

I agree. A very creepy shiek style here. I know a lot of people who love this type of painting! The colors are great with a good balance between warm and cool. The darks and lights highlight the subject well. Awesome job! :)

I like your color pallette but I am not sure if the bottom is better red or maybe a firery red would be better. I like the mood of it, i guess the background depends on how real you are going for. James

I love it. Macabre? No, I don't find it disturbing. Television, THAT is disturbing! I love the colours. I find a good flow to the painting except my eye gets stuck in the bottom left corner. But then it flows up the pole to the face again. I say, Good Work. Pam

Hi, this is my first visit to the acrylics forum, and what a way to start! I find it beautiful and disturbing as already mentioned. For me the disturbing part is the opposition between the head's expression and the situation. I like it :)

hmmm... a bit different and unique. Not sure if I like it or not but I think it would make wonderful cover art for a Stephen King novel!
