This is a semi pro ball park in Newport, RI.
My intentions for this painting are for a themed juried show entitled "Small but Monumental". It's a charming ball park with attributes akin to Wrigley field and Fenway.
This is Oil on panel and 6" x 8"
Thanks,
Jon

A very sweet painting Jon! There's a great feeling of expectancy as on game day!!
I'll take it, plus two tickets to Friday's game, a beer and a hot dog and a beer! :D

Looks huge for a 6x8. Nice Jon, very Hopper-esque I think. Good luck.

Thank you guys very much,
Lee, here is a blurb from the "Newport Gull's" website....
"Between 1925 and 1936, the City of Newport leased the field for $1 per year. Small wooden bleachers and a backstop accomplished since no permanent improvements could be made to the privately owned parcel of land. In 1936, the City of Newport purchased the field and quickly made it one of the finest fields in America.
Cardines is a cousin of other notable fields of that era, Ebbetts, Fenway and Wrigley all boasted a stone facade and wooden bleachers with unique outfield angles that made players famous in their ability to play the carooms."
