This is Pudney James , a new Zealand cat which sadly died last year.
Watercolours on Saunders paper, 10 by 14 inches,

And a very sweet kitty he was from the portrait. I really like your suggestion of the block wall. It sets the space but doesn't detract from Pudney James.

Nice delicate work on the flowers . Pudney looks as though he may have had a mischeivous streak.

Lovely piece Rod. Pudney seems to be basking in the warmth of the day.

Rod you're a master indeed! I have learned something from every piece. I noticed the fur on his face and chest has a touch of colour to suggest the sunlight. I like this one so much. Mary

Hi Rod, another very nice piece of work. How do you do it? His owner will be so proud to have your painting on her wall. I know i would be. You have given that lady her cat back for life. Now i know where to come for a good animal portraite. I look forward to your lesson on this one as with all your lessons. Keep painting Rod. What would wetcanvas be without you? Take care.

Sorry to hear about Pudney James. He was a beautiful cat and your painting does him justice. I like the effect on the wall behind him as well,
