I felt kind of neglected. I thought I had posted this yesterday when I finished it and thought nobody liked it but I searched the forum and think I may have previewed it and moved on.

Well, I have a cleaner finish and this is Saturday's cat, from the reference library.
Large board, if I recall it is is 14x18, an odd size, but I use scraps of suede board so they come out what they come out.

To recall days gone by, this is really "the cat's meow"! Although this horizontal format is atypical for portraits, you pulled it off like the pro you are!

This is lovely. I have a special place in my heart for Himalayans..we used to have one. Lily was her name and she was a blue point. You've really done a fantastic job on this.

Your usual great work, dj. You have captured his aloofness very well.

Ah, thanks.
I seriously thought I was wacking out. I have been trying to keep myself honest by posting all my animals in the animal forum and the medium in which I produced it.

I was suggested a few months ago, which was a good idea then, that I get 12 cats together for a calendar. I found eight or so great references in the library area and have them stored on my hard drive for mornings when I sleep late! I swear, I almost start sneezing when I look at longhairs, but it was not as sweet as my others had been so I thought a bit of a snotty cat would be a great challenge.

Nothing personal, I don't know lovely Peggy Sue, but she does seem to be in charge of the whole household.

I just had to post a photo here of our late Lily. She was the best and most beautiful blue point Himalayan! We miss her.
