The Mesa Arts Center is offering 3 new classes this fall- Core-Formed Vessels, Fundamentals of Borosilicate and Intermediate/Advanced Borosilicate. The Fundamentals of Boro, taught by Paul Blasi, last 7 weeks and cost $65. Inter/Adv Boro is taught by Seth Hawkins and last 4 or 6 weeks, costing $37-$55.

For more class information go to page 10a at http://www.ci.mesa.az.us/arts/MAC/timeoutvisadult.asp

These classes promise to be quite instructive and FUN!!! These are the last classes before the 1936 Civilian Conservation Corps building is shut down. The new $93 million Mesa Arts Center opens in the spring of 2005.

MAC is a great resource for lampworking opportunities! You can go at your own pace, get instruction, try new materials, see master demonstrations, have a great chance to build skills. I just can't say enough good things about Mesa Arts Center. Their instructors are top-notch. I know Paul and he is a gifted artist with a real eye on skills...I wish I had the set up to try boro because its what I've collected. :p
