Hi Gang,
Today we had a combined painting day. Both the Rangiora Art Society and The Town and Country Art Society met at Loburn Hall.
We had a variety of still life subjects set up , also models for portraits. The hall is in the country area so plenty of beautiful landscapes are also available,

I'm new to posting here but have lurked for a while now. I have admired your work a great deal.

Yet another day well spent and another really good painting.

Welcome Mark,
You couldnt do better than lurk around Rods work. Have a look at some of his lessons and enjoy yourself. Where abouts in Wellington are you lurking, used to live in Newtown when I worked at NZIG.

LQQKs like you had lots and lots of fun! What a great idea, not only combining the clubs but the subjects of choice to paint as well. Thanks for sharing Rod.

Thanks for sharing Rod.
You've given me some ideas for our own Art Society club day.
Your still life is lovely.
Just as well billyg wasn't there, he would have put the pumpkin with his onion in the caserole! http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Ya Ya de Ya Ya Lulu. Jealousy will get you a the back of the queue for seconds.
Hey Rod good group idea, our lots too frightened, it would be a good idea for them as some of them have been panting the same way for donkeys years. One old chuck on Wednesday I noticed her brush was decidedly limp, one of those 90' brushes LOL. Im going to give her one of my sable mix brushes next week, it may revitalise her.

Thank you all for the welcome. Rod's lessons were the first things I found and I spent a great deal of time studying them (and trying to paint water on leaves like he does)

Billy, I live in Pukerua Bay.

I recently spent a day painting by the side of the road in Masterton (I managed to get through my fear of strangers stopping and talking to me about it) and had a great day out. I am reworking/repainting from reference photo's and if it turns out o.k I'll try and find a way to share.

Looks like you had a great day. I need to get out more to our local group, but I have become such a recluse.

What a neat concept...both groups together! I love the idea of different things to paint too. When I win the lottery will come join you (hehe)
Your painting is lovely (of course)..! http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif
