Wilkinsonart, your stone work is outstanding. And your shadows are very good.

:) Jenee How do you do that? Many thanks. If you haven't noticed I am far from a computer geek. Seems like I am spending more time trying to master the tech side than the never enough paint side. Once again appreciate the assistance. Terry

Hi terry,

I showed you how in your other painting.

What I did was take a snapshot of your painting with Paintshop Pro, but all you need to do is attach it as file.

The Attach file button is at the end of the post reply screen:)

Yes it was comedy/Drama I would fix one, and then other would be posted (but not seen) I would fix it. I just like to help people.

Terry,

I like your work all your proportions and presecptives seem right, only thing I would do is play around with light and shadow. Get a more defined focal point by darken the shadow by the door maybe....

Very good painting Terry, maybe a few more darks would make it "pop". :)

Nice work Terry, great stone work, just needs more tonal contrast, but that could be your photo making it look pale,
Rod.

Terry,

Great stone works and a great looking house. I agree that a little more dark in the focus area will make it sing more. :D Eye

Terry, I boosted the contrast in photoshop . I this more like your original or is the one you posted accurate?

Javier,Jeneelind,Taghera, Eye and Rod [ I am sorry to say it was not the photograph] Bang on about the lacking dark/light contrast giving it an over all bland appearance.
First thing this morning I made a medium dark wash , repainted the existing shadows and added some to the entrance. This definitely improved things. Thanks muchly for the advice all.
Kingfisher that was it exactly! An excellent painter and computer whiz - do you make house calls?

Another lovely watercolour WA.

I agree about the stonework and the shadows, and also like the bark on your trees.

Just off to tilt my head back the right way :D
